What should we do to celebrate the Resurrection of Our Lord, Jesus Christ? How 'bout eggs!?!

Well it has been a long time since we have updated our blog. It seems sort of pointless considering that all our random happenings are published in the highly circulated Morris Family Newsletter. Anywho, we thought that since March and April have been pretty eventful, we should let everyone in one the goodness.

In March, we went on our annual trip to Arches National Park. It was much better weather than last year and a lovely 75 degrees. It was a lot of fun. I was sort of torn between my invited friends and those who usually go on the trip with us. It was sort of sad that I wasn't able to spend a lot of time with both groups, but it was still a lot of fun.

The week after Arches, we went to Spanish Fork to hit up the Krishna Temple. They were having their annual Spring Festival also known as Holi: The Festival of Colors. It was a ton of fun. Since I have learned a lot about Hindus in my world religion class, it meant a lot more to me (not to mention that I didn't participate in the chants because that is how they worship Krishna the avatar of Lord Vishnu). Last year, we were walking up to the temple when the initial burst of multi-colored chalk dust occurred. This year, we were in the middle of it all. It was hard to breath and the dust tasted disgusting, but it was a lot of fun after that. It was good times.

For Easter, the Easter Bunny visited us while Melissa was in the shower. He brought us lots of candy and a kite. We have also been using this week to study the last week of Christ's mortal ministry. We have tried to follow it chronologically and it has been really rewarding. We are so blessed for the knowledge that we have. Not to mention that General Conference was last week. Everyone is going crazy with how intense the world is right now with economic uncertainty and increasing world conflict. It's refreshing to hear from inspired men who are calm and optimistic about the future.

Hopefully we'll be better about updating our blog... but don't hold your breath. I also tried to post a couple of pictures, but it will only let me do one. So I posted our Festival of Colors picture. We look like a Jackson Pollock painting... or gay chimney sweeps.
